SR9009 is commonly referred to as Stenabolic and it’s basically a synthetic drug that was developed for the purpose of studying the circadian rhythm.
Research done on mice shows that Stenabolic can help lose weight, decrease cholesterol, inflammation, and anxiety.
This compound doesn’t belong to the SARMs family. It’s a quite interesting compound, allow me to explain.
The human body operates according to the circadian rhythm. This all happens in a 24-hour window.
The interesting thing is that a loop mechanism is responsible for maintaining the circadian rhythm. This controls the way genes are turned on and off.
For instance, when CLOCK and BMAL1 genes are switched on, they automatically trigger PER and CRY. PER and CRY, in turn, switch off MBAL1 and CLOCK to reset the 2-hour cycle.
BMAL1 is turned off by a pair of proteins known as REV-ERBs. They are responsible for balancing the body’s internal clock. These REV-ERBs are triggered by the heme group which is made up of tiny compounds that contain iron.
These can be found all throughout the body. They come in different forms including red blood cells.
Stenabolic is known for its ability to enhance the activity of REV-ERBs and it has decent bioavailability.
Reduces Blood Cholesterol
A study involving mice showed that Stenabolic can reduce total cholesterol and triglyceride levels in the blood when taken for a period of 7 to 10 days.
Another study involving a group of genetically modified mice indicated that the SARM can lower triglycerides and bad cholesterol. This without affecting the good cholesterol. The latter group of mice was given the SARM for 8 weeks.
In yet another study that was conducted with mice, SR9009 was shown to significantly increase endurance within just 30 days of intake. Evidence shows that the mice were able to run longer distances for an extended period of time.
This research also indicates that Stenabolic can repress autophagy genes which lead to increasing the mitochondria numbers in muscle cells.
In one study, rats showed decreased lung inflammation after taking SR9009 thanks to a decreased production of TNF-alpha.
The SARM also decreased inflammatory nerve cell molecules in these rats.
Protects from Heart Disease
A group of scientist gave SR9009 to genetically modified mice that were predisposed to hardened arteries for 7 weeks. After the trial period was over they observed reduced blood vessel lesions in the mice. This was despite the fact that they had the same blood fat levels and maintained their body weight and food intake.
When taken for 28 days, Stenabolic proved to be beneficial for improved heart function in both genetically modified and normal mice.
SR9009 was also shown to decrease heart size and weight in mice that had surgically induced heart growth. These results happened without affecting the mice’s blood pressure levels.
Gives You Energy
Since SR9009 affects REV-ERB cycles it only makes sense that it would impact sleep-wake patterns as well. But, these only last for 12 hours which is a rather short amount of time.
SR9009 had no effect on mice that were injected with it at night. However, it caused energy spikes and increased activity in mice that had it injected during the daytime.
The interesting thing is that these mice were programmed to sleep during the day which means that Stenabolic has the ability to affect our sleep/waking cycles.
This can come in handy for night-shift workers or frequent travelers that want to ward off sleep or have more control over their sleeping patterns.
Helps with Anxiety
When SR9009 was injected in mice twice per day for 3 to 10 days, the result was a decrease in anxiety-fuelled behavior.
Decreases Tissue Damage (Fibrosis)
Mice with induced liver scarring were given SR9009 for two weeks as treatment and experienced decreased tissue damage.
Stenabolic is a fat-soluble substance which means that it’s best taken with food. The easiest way to take it is by spreading it out in three 10mg dosages per day.
This means you can take it with your breakfast, lunch and dinner meals. For the best results, make sure to take it with your pre-workout meal. Also spread out the dosages as much as you can.
Experts recommend stacking Stenabolic with Cardarine in order to achieve maximum fat oxidation. That way, the Cardarine will give you a slow trickle of fat oxidation during the day, while the Stenabolic will help increase your fat oxidation levels while you work out.
This can be achieved by taking 10 mg of Stenabolic along with your pre-workout meal, and 20mg of Cardarine with your breakfast. Stenabolic is best taken only on workout days.
There’s currently no recommended human dosage for Stenabolic. The research that was done on mice mostly used a dosage of 100 mg per kg which is typically injected into the body cavity.
According to bodybuilding forums online, humans should ideally take it in dosages of 10 to 40 mg 3 to 4 times a day.
There’s no scientific evidence to back the efficacy of orally consumed Stenabolic so there’s no telling what its effects would be.
You can take Stenabolic on its own or stack with another supplement. Some say that stacking it with 50mg of Winstrol per day can boost your efforts during the cutting phase. Others say that stacking it with 300 to 400 mg of Equipoise per week can help boost endurance, especially when paired with 20mgs of Cardarine.
For a great body recomp, it’s recommended that you combine it with 10mgs of LGD-4033and 10mgs of RAD 140.
A majority of users say that pairing Stenabolic with Trenbolone can help counterbalance the side effects of the latter.
There isn’t that much of a difference between Cardarine and Stenabolic except for the fact that they have different half-lives.
Stenabolic has a half-life of 4 hours which makes it perfect to use pre-workout, while Cardarine has a half-life of 24 hours that makes it suitable for maximizing fat oxidation and endurance throughout the day.
These two compounds are often used together in a SARMs Stack.
Judging from the research data that we have so far, Stenabolic shows a lot of promise. I think we will definitely be hearing more about this compound in the future.
Based on user reviews and experiences it seems to be safe to research with. It works great when it comes to shredding and burning fat.
However, one has to keep in mind that SR9009 is a relatively new compound. It still needs thorough research and real human trials before it can be fully trusted.
So, take it at your own risk and make sure to stick to the recommended dosages.
